And others by producing heat mechanically toward enabling the reaction.
The fifth step is mastication, where either an extruder is used or two roll mill is used to break hi polymer chain. This work is physically done by the workers. This aids the reclaimed rubber in refining and blending. The sixth step is filtering. If the manufacturer wants to deliver higher quality products, they extrude the materials through a 60’s mesh (250 µm) filter. By doing so, any undigested material can be removed easily. The final step is finishing. The reclaimed rubber is either converted into blocks or converted into a thin paper sheet up to 15 mm thickness by sending it back to the mill. The final product is coated in anti-tack agent, and bundles of desired weight are made.
